Why mechanics choose our tool

No drilling or prying
The tip threads into the old filter so it pulls straight out instead of being dug out with picks.
Seats the new filter too
Flip the tool and use the flat press-end to push the new basket in squarely.
One tool, many injectors
Reusable: one tool services many injectors. Made in the USA.

Before you start

  1. Wear eye protection and gloves, and work away from sparks or flame.
  2. Take the injector out and remove the top (fuel-rail) O-ring so you can see the old basket filter in the inlet.
  3. Check that your injector has a serviceable ~6 mm basket filter (some EV14s don't).

Removing the old filter

  1. Put the self-threading tip into the centre of the old basket filter.
  2. Turn the tool so the thread bites into the filter screen.
  3. Twist and pull straight out along the injector axis; discard the old filter.

Fitting the new filter

  1. Place a new micro basket filter squarely in the inlet.
  2. Use the tool's flat press-end to push it fully home without crushing it.
  3. Fit a new FKM O-ring of the matching size and reinstall the injector.

FAQ

Will this tool damage injector nozzles?
It is designed to avoid that: the tip threads into the filter screen rather than the injector body, and the filter is pulled straight out with no drilling or prying. Work gently and keep the tool in line with the injector.
Which filters fit?
Top-feed injectors with a ~6 mm micro basket filter: EV1 / EV6 style, and EV14 types with a serviceable basket. Some EV14s have non-removable filters, and it is not meant for side-feed or bottom-feed injectors. Check your injector before ordering.
Do you ship internationally?
Not right now. US shipping only for now; international orders are temporarily unavailable.
