Two test modes in one unit. Air mode pressure-tests the sealed system first, so you know a leak is there before spending test oil; Smoke mode then fills the system with visible smoke and the wisp escaping marks the exact leak point. The built-in air pump means no shop compressor is needed, and the panel pressure gauge and adjustable flow meter keep the test controlled. Runs off a 12V vehicle battery.

Quick start

  1. Fill the tank with 10-20 ml of test oil (baby oil; not included).
  2. Connect the clamps to a fully charged 12V vehicle battery.
  3. Seal the system with the cone adapter or the EVAP caps and run Air mode first to confirm a leak is present.
  4. Switch to Smoke mode, set the flow dial, and watch for the wisp of smoke marking the leak.
  5. Disconnect the power cord from the battery when done.
